ACC-3 cartridges are designed such that where water flows from bottom to top ensures a long contact time, allowing for maximum adsorption and treatment. KDF utilizing redox reactions, kills or inhibits bacteria growth, converts chlorine to chlorides and removes iron, hydrogen sulfide and heavy metals (lead, arsenic, etc.). Used in combination with activated carbon, KDF can significantly extend the life of filter cartridges. Non-woven polypropylene creates a barrier that prevents filtration media from being washed out.

Through an accurate combination of granular activated carbon (GAC) with KDF® and softening media, FCCBKDF2 series improves the bad taste and odor of your drinking water by reducing the concentration of chlorine, organic compounds (VOC’s) and heavy metals (e.g. lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury). KDF media also inhibits bacterial growth, lengthening the service life of the cartridge. Finally, the cation exchange-based resin water softening process is performed by the decrease of calcium and magnesium content, enhancing the continuous supply of fresh and clean drinking water.
